Prayer for the World Day of the Sick

Lord, how will I ever make my way? How will I find Your face in this illness? Where is Your GOOD in this pain, this arduous climb facing me?

Ah, but in Your goodness, You gently remind me: You sustain my every heartbeat and so many other functions. You remind me that I cannot will my body to perform those things that You so lovingly provide. And You will be at my side through these coming days and weeks.

Lord fill me with Your Spirit, that I and my caregivers may have the courage to humbly come to You as our Source, our Strength. Help us to rejoice in this reminder of Your eternal love for us!
